Last weekend, the stars turned out in their masses in Coventry, Swansea, Perth and Belfast as 175,000 people attended Âé¶¹Éç Music's Biggest Weekend.

Millions watched the performances on TV and there's been extensive coverage on radio and the Âé¶¹Éç iPlayer.

But just what is it like to perform at such a big event?

We caught up with Âé¶¹Éç Radio 1 presenters Huw Stephens and Annie Mac, who were hosting some of the new talent onto the Âé¶¹Éç Music Introducing stage.

The Biggest Weekend: Underworld

The Biggest Weekend: Underworld
One of the kingpins of '90s dance music were Underworld, who actually formed in 1980 when Bewdley musician Karl Hyde met Rick Smith in Cardiff.

But it wasn't until the movie Trainspotting came out in 1996 that the electronica duo would achieve their highest success with the anthemic thumper Born Slippy.

That film was directed by Danny Boyle, the same chap that organised directed the Olympic Games in London, who commissioned the band to write some of the soundtrack to the 2012 event.

The Hay Festival

The Hay Festival
It's a pick 'n' mix shop that straddles the Herefordshire-Wales border and swells the population of Hay-on-Wye early each summer.

We were there, once again, with some of our favourite handpicked musicians from Herefordshire & Worcestershire, recording four sessions for broadcast across two events.

But what makes this event different?

As more than a quarter-of-a-million tickets have been sold for this year's event, we've been looking back at 31 years of the Hay Festival.

This will be their eighth annual event which takes place in the riverside town of Bewdley, featuring tonnes of local bands.

This year they are extending the festival over three days.

We will be there on Sunday, 17 June, hosting a stage dedicated to Herefordshire and Worcestershire artists chosen from the .
