Former England international Chris Waddle says it has been too long since England played well at a tournament.

Speaking about Gareth Southgate’s squad selection for the World Cup in Russia, Waddle says that England have been ‘building a side’ for the last 20 years.

‘This is pathetic’ says Waddle who believes the current squad lacks ‘creativity’.
