Italy is embroiled in a power struggle between Eurosceptics and pro-EU politicians
Italy has a new prime minister but his appointment is a temporary measure, and fresh elections in the autumn now look probable. It took weeks of negotiations for a populist coalition to take shape, but the president has controversially vetoed it by installing Carlo Cottarelli as an interim prime minister.
The former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis and Italy's former Foreign Minister, Emma Bonino, debate whether the power struggle between Eurosceptic populists - winners of the March election - and pro-EU establishment politicians could spark a crisis in the European Union.
