Ian Blackford: Calling this a stunt 'is not acceptable'
The SNP's leader at Westminster, Ian Blackford, has been expelled from the Commons chamber for the rest of the day, over a row with the Speaker during Prime Minister's Questions. His party walked out with him.
Mr Blackford was ordered to leave after refusing to sit down and repeatedly demanding an emergency debate on Scottish powers after Brexit.
On being asked by Radio 4's World at One if he had planned to walk out if the debate was not given, he said
"I didn't walk out...The Speaker refused to put the motion to the Chamber...and removed me from the House of Commons, there was no desire to do so."
