Mammograms are the gold standard of breast screening examination. But, as radiologist Dr Monica Saini explains, it can be challenging to make sure the measurements are the same for each woman.

A company based in Wellington, New Zealand is using AI and software to standardise mammograms, so that these x-rays, which are mostly digital, can be used to accurately measure changes in a woman鈥檚 breast tissue and then assess a woman鈥檚 risk from breast cancer.
