Ex-Brexit minister: No deal documents should be 'neutral'
A former Brexit minister says he hopes a series of government technical documents on the impact of a 鈥渘o deal鈥 Brexit will be "presented in neutral terms".
David Jones, who was a Brexit minister from 2016 until 2017 and supports the UK leaving the EU, said "it鈥檚 a great shame that these documents have not been published sooner.鈥
He told Radio 4's World at One that documents like this are not always presented neutrally, citing forecasts by the Treasury prior to the 2016 referendum, "which carried fairly lurid warnings as to what the consequences of a leave vote would be".
