Kenya's latest safe sex advert angers the censors
The airing on Kenyan TV of the latest safe sex advert, which shows images of people putting on socks to promote the use of condoms, has upset the country's censors. Kenya's Film Classification Board says the transmission was illegal because the advert should have been vetted by the Board before being shown to the public.
Tony Gatheca of the Transcend Media Group, which is the company behind the advert, says it was aired in error before the 10pm watershed but they have apologised and it has now been cleared for transmission.
