Nigeria flood areas at risk from cholera, CDC warns
Nigeria's Centre for Disease Control warns of the possible spread of cholera, typhoid fever and other waterborne diseases following heavy seasonal rain in much of central and southern Nigeria. Locals say potable water is scarce forcing many to ignore advice not to use stagnant floodwater for drinking, preparing food or washing dishes.
