At a special summit about violence against women and children in South Africa, women protested by holding up underwear as President Ramaphosa was speaking.

Lucy Bowles is a member of a movement called Total Shutdown, which raises awareness of gender violence in South Africa. Her colleagues took part in the silent protest.
