Minister apologises for inventing Brexit stat on air
Justice Minister Rory Stewart has apologised after making up a Brexit statistic whilst on 麻豆社 Radio 5 Live.
Speaking with Emma Barnett, he claimed 80 per cent of the British public supported the prime minister鈥檚 Brexit deal.
Pressed by Emma as to where he had got the information, he said: 鈥淚鈥檓 producing a number to illustrate what I believe鈥�.
He later added, 鈥淚 totally apologise and I take that back.鈥�
