Mourinho needs to take a year off – Carney

England and Chelsea midfielder Karen Carney says Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho should take a year off because he is β€œburnt out.”

United are currently eight points off the top four and Carney says the Portuguese would benefit from a break like Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola did in 2012.

β€œWhen Mourinho first came [to England] he had energy, charisma and charm. I do not see that anymore.”

β€œHe is an unbelievable manager but I think he should do 'the Pep thing', have a year off to reflect and have a rest.”, said Carney.
