Romanian minister challenged on amnesty for corrupt politicians

Romania's Foreign Minister Teodor Mele艧canu tells Newsnight pardoning his country's corrupt politicians may be "an alternative solution" to relieve their overcrowded prisons.

Romania has just taken on the EU presidency for the first half of this year. It's the first time that they've held the presidency since joining the EU 12 years ago.
