The barriers women face in Nigerian politics
Next week, tens of millions of people are to choose their members of parliament, state governors and president in Nigeria. Almost half of the voters are women, but the overwhelming majority of the candidates are men. Ireti Bakare-Yusuf is a radio personality and an activist. Newsday鈥檚 James Copnall has asked her whether women are fairly represented in Nigerian politics.
