Living with Lyme disease

Lyme disease sufferer Rachel Alban on why it took four years to get a correct diagnosis.

Cases of Lyme disease may be three times more prevalent than is currently believed, according to research publicised by the British Medical Journal.

It's usually easier to treat if it's caught early but, like Rachel, many sufferers from Lyme disease can wait years for the right diagnosis.

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that can be spread to humans by infected ticks.
