A couple recovering from meth addiction in the US went viral after sharing before-and-after photos of themselves.

In the before photo, Brent Walker and his wife Ashley are at the height of their addiction. The after photo was taken on holiday, nearly three years on from giving up the drug.

Brent posted the photos on Facebook, hoping to inspire others to also give up meth.

The post has been shared hundreds of thousands of times.
