Uganda oil exploration: why is it taking so long?
Uganda's oil and gas exploration was a promise for the country's wealth since the discovery of back gold reserves thirteen years ago. Despite this, Uganda's business partner and petrol company Total announced that they are stopping work on the oilfield, following a disagreement over a deal to buy additional equity. Uganda's Minister for energy and minerals Irene Muloni says what the government is doing to ensure that work continues.
