On October the first the People鈥檚 Republic of China celebrates its 70th Birthday. Mark Mardell is looking at the huge changes the country has seen - politically, culturally and socially.
In episode three of his series, he reflects on the quote by Chairman Mao who said that women 鈥渉old up half the sky鈥, as he tried to liberate women. Mark looks at love, sex and marriage...and asks how has life changed for Chinese women in those 70 years?
