The rapper T.I. makes his daughter undergo virginity tests

On a recent episode of the 'Ladies Like Us' podcast the US rapper T.I. reportedly said he goes with his 18-year-old daughter to a gynaecological exam each year, to check that her hymen is still intact.

Reproductive health doctor, Annabel Sowemimo, says these type of virginity tests are unscientific and cause girls "undue distress". She says we need to re-think the concept of virginity and use the term sexual debut in order to remove any cultural stigma.
