'David Stern was able to change a lot more than just basketball'
US Sports journalist Erica L.Ayala explains the meaning behind former LA Lakers' player Magic Johnson's tribute to former National Basketball Association commissioner David Stern.
Under Stern, the NBA experienced extraordinary growth, with seven new franchises - including expansion to Canada in 1995 - and launched the Women's National Basketball Association and NBA Development League.
Stern, who died on New Year's Day aged 77 was the sport's longest serving commissioner.
