Millions feared their SIM cards would stop working after government deadline
Some mobile phone users in Tanzania have managed to avoid having their phones blocked, following government's plan to disconnect unregistered Sim cards after yesterday's deadline.
In Ethiopia at least ten people have died and dozens injured following the collapse of a wooden stand during the Orthodox Christian celebration of the Timket festival in Gondar.
