Â鶹Éç

Social-distancing and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic means we’re all having to do things differently.

Here at the Â鶹Éç, we’re not really able to go out and speak with guests in the same way we used to – but our own Jack Murley has found a way to work around it and try something a bit different.

He’s come up with the Dial-A-Guest feature, where he drops a message to someone interesting that he’s always wanted to speak with to see if they fancy having a chat. And while some have ignored him entirely, plenty of fascinating people have answered his call to stop what they’re doing to have a natter about whatever happens to be on their mind.

This week, he’s joined by Jane Garvey – the presenter of the Â鶹Éç’s Woman’s Hour programme and the first voice ever heard on 5Live – to see how she got her start in broadcasting.
