Premier League cash 'bit of a myth'
The Brighton & Hove Albion chief executive Paul Barber has told 麻豆社 Radio 5 Live that 鈥渁ll football clubs are suffering鈥 and they鈥檙e doing all they can to save as many jobs as possible.
Some Premier League clubs have furloughed non-playing staff during the coronavirus pandemic, when no football is being played.
This decision has been criticised by politicians who said the clubs were living in a 鈥渕oral vacuum鈥 and said players should be first to sacrifice salaries.
Tottenham, Newcastle and Norwich have all opted to utilise the government鈥檚 job retention scheme during the pandemic.
Speaking to 5 Live Breakfast, Mr Barber said says the perception that everyone in the Premier League has a lot of cash 鈥渋s a bit of a myth鈥.
