The Cameroonian on Facebook's new oversight board
The social media company Facebook has just launched an oversight board made up of 20 members. They are independent and drawn from different sectors all around the world. Together, the panel will decide on contentious issues, particularly content that has been taken down and whether it was right to do so. Bola Mosuro has been speaking to Julie Owono, she is from Cameroon and has been selected to be a member of the board thanks to her experience as Executive Director of Internet Without Borders.
