Finland: government votes to clarify FGM laws
In Finland, Parliament has voted in favour of making the ban on female genital mutilation more explicitly enshrined in law.聽With its decision, the legislature gave partial support to a citizens' initiative calling for a separate law banning FGM.聽Ujuni Ahmed is an FGM specialist and human rights activist in Helsinki. She been telling the 麻豆社's Esau Williams how widespread the practice of FGM in Finland is.
