Nigeria: Families call for release of kidnapped schoolboys
Focus on Africa’s Bola Mosuro speaks to Nigerian military spokesperson Major General John Enenche about the army’s efforts to rescue hundreds of schoolboys kidnapped in Katsina State. Gunmen stormed the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara on Friday, reportedly abducting hundreds of boys. Such attacks are often followed by demands for ransom payments to be made in order to secure the victims’ freedom.
