'Waiting for the vaccine is like waiting on a kidney'
Holly has been shielding for 11 months and frustration is growing
Lockdown with two small children was never going to be easy but this week Kate is getting severe pain due to her impairments especially when trying to play with and cuddle their newly adopted child.
Meanwhile Kate's wife Holly is on an emotional rollercoaster as she awaits a vaccine appointment. She's been shielding for 11 months because she has no immunity system due to meds she is on as a kidney transplant recipient and is finding it tough.

SCOUT - Mummy?
銆赌
HOLLY - It looks like one of those pregnancy tests.
銆赌
KATE - Give yourself 30 minutes from start to finish?
銆赌
SCOUT - Mummy?
銆赌
HOLLY - What?
銆赌
SCOUT - Mummy?
銆赌
HOLLY - Go and take this somewhere else. I don鈥檛 want your blood everywhere.
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
KATE - Like, this is really unusual for me to just sort of hide in my bedroom for five minutes.
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
kate - You鈥檒l feel a little pinch. Ow! [Laughter]

KATE - Hello and welcome to another episode of Isolation Diaries. I鈥檓 Kate Monaghan, and this is my online diary during lockdown 3.0. Now, each week I carry around my recording equipment so that I can tell you all about the events, to put it politely, of lockdown. Sometimes I鈥檓 guilty of oversharing, but hey, I鈥檇 rather be honest. Now, I鈥檝e got Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which is a chronic pain condition affecting all my joints, and endometriosis, which also can be very painful, in my tummy, and I鈥檓 isolating with, well a growing brood of family. I鈥檝e been married to my wife, Holly, for the last, nearly ten years now鈥 God, that makes us sound old doesn鈥檛 it?
銆赌
Now, she previously had a kidney transplant so is in the extremely clinically vulnerable group, which means that we have had to be, like, properly shielding for her for quite a long time now. Holly and I have a four year old daughter called Scout, who we are desperately trying to home school, and failing, and we have a fairly new edition of our daughter, Gracie. We adopted Grace, or Little G, as we often call her, last year and she鈥檚 now 20 months old. And if that鈥檚 not enough, as of about October last year we鈥檝e had Holly鈥檚 brother, Will, and his girlfriend, Louise, living with us, and we have three cats as well.
銆赌
Now, like the rest of the nation we are desperate for the vaccine, particularly for Holly, but unfortunately, as you鈥檙e about to find out, getting that has not really gone to plan. Those of you who were with us last week will know that unfortunately my amazing grandma Monaghan passed away last week at the grand old age of 91. It wasn鈥檛 COVID related, but COVID restrictions did mean that I couldn鈥檛 be with her to say goodbye, and it鈥檚 robbed me of quality time with her over the past year. So I had a big decision to make: Should I or should I not attend the funeral?
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
kate - So I was just talking to Dad鈥 No, don鈥檛 play your鈥
銆赌
HOLLY - I wasn鈥檛 going to.
銆赌
KATE - Your programme. I鈥檓 talking to you. 鈥楢merica鈥檚 Child Brides鈥? That鈥檚 cheery. [Laughter]
銆赌
holly - Well, I was watching the disability thing as well. I鈥檓 just checking out, you know. It鈥檚 good to know what鈥檚 on.
銆赌
KATE - Yeah. Yeah, I was just talking to Dad about the funeral, Grandma鈥檚 funeral.
銆赌
holly - Yeah. And what did you say?
銆赌
KATE - So I think I鈥檝e made the decision, I鈥檓 definitely going to go.
銆赌
HOLLY - Hmm-hmm?
銆赌
KATE - But I wanted to talk to you about this, because I was thinking about it and, like, this funeral is going to be so weird, because I鈥檓 going to have to sit on my own.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah.
銆赌
KATE - Because I鈥檓 not in anyone鈥檚 bubble or anything.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah.
銆赌
KATE - And it鈥檚 going to be really, like, sad obviously.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, yeah.
銆赌
KATE - And then we鈥檙e not allowed to do anything afterwards, so I鈥檓 not really allowed to see anyone or talk to anybody or anything.
銆赌
HOLLY - So what do you think you鈥檒l do, like, after the funeral? You know, when they say, like, "You can leave now to the music" or whatever, so do you think you鈥檒l鈥 you鈥檒l just kind of do a little wave to everyone?
銆赌
KATE - Yeah.
銆赌
HOLLY - And just be, like, get in the car.
銆赌
KATE - Yeah. Yeah, it鈥檚 weird isn鈥檛 it?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, really weird.
銆赌
KATE - And then I鈥檒l have to drive for, like, an hour and a bit on my own, home again.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah.
銆赌
KATE - So what do you think about, like, obviously we鈥檝e got Will and Louise here now who could look after the kids, what would you think about coming with me?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, of course. What, and you mean, just not going into the actual鈥?
銆赌
KATE - Go into the funeral. Just wait in the car.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, of course. Yeah.
銆赌
KATE - You鈥檙e saying yeah, of course, but what do you really think?
銆赌
HOLLY - I think if you鈥檙e really, really not going to go near anyone and you鈥檙e masked up and stuff and you鈥檙e quite far apart I think it鈥檒l be all right.
銆赌
KATE - Well, apparently the crematorium, they, like, enforce it quite strictly.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah. No, I鈥檓 sure they will.
銆赌
KATE - They also, like, push you out quite quickly after your time, so they can clean everything again, and then you鈥檙e not allowed to, like, congregate and talk to anybody outside, they just sort of say, you know, you have to go.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, I鈥檓 sure it will be like that. Yeah, but of course I鈥檒l come. I鈥檒l just sit in the car park with a book or something.
銆赌
KATE - Do you think it鈥檚 risk-less enough? Not risk-less but, like, not risky, as in is it safe?
銆赌
HOLLY - Well, everything鈥檚 a risk isn鈥檛 it? But I don鈥檛 think it鈥檚 very risky, no.
銆赌
KATE - Because I鈥檇 be coming home with the same鈥
銆赌
HOLLY - Exactly, that鈥檚 the thing.
銆赌
KATE - So鈥 Okay, that鈥檚 good. That鈥檚 made me feel a bit better about it, because when Dad was just explaining about the funeral I started getting upset, so鈥
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, I know, I know. It鈥檚 really hard. By the way, you need to go and choose your own birthday cake from M&S. [Laughter] Because, I mean, I could bake one but I know you鈥檙e a big fan of those chocolate ones aren鈥檛 you?
銆赌
KATE - Yeah.
銆赌
HOLLY - Or a Colin.
銆赌
KATE - Everyone loves a Colin.
銆赌
HOLLY - So I can bake you one. Decide whether you want one baked or鈥 Or we could ask Louise to bake those cinnamon buns?
銆赌
kate - No, that鈥檚 your favourite thing, not mine.
銆赌
HOLLY - Oh, damn. I was just going to stick a candle in it. [Laughter]
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
KATE - If you found yourself in a similar position to me, having to debate if you should attend a funeral during lockdown then please feel free to get in touch. Maybe you found it to be the right decision and you want to pass on some advice. I mean, I really could do with that right now, or maybe it just wasn鈥檛 worth it. Your story is equally as important. If you email my producer, Amy, at
amy.elizabeth@bbc.co.uk I鈥檓 always very happy to hear your thoughts.銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
kate - Hey.
銆赌
HOLLY - Oh, thanks.
銆赌
KATE - Cup of tea for you.
銆赌
HOLLY - Did you see my email from the doctor鈥檚 I forwarded you?
銆赌
KATE - No?
銆赌
HOLLY - Well, you know I said I was going to email them and just see when I could get鈥? Well, I emailed them and I was just, like, reminding them that I wanted a vaccine road basically, and then I just got a reply back saying, "I have added you to the waiting list for shielded patients."
銆赌
KATE - What?
銆赌
HOLLY - I know. I wasn鈥檛 even on the list.
銆赌
KATE - You鈥檙e kidding.
銆赌
HOLLY - No. I mean, luckily I emailed them yesterday.
銆赌
KATE - Why weren鈥檛 you on the list?
銆赌
holly - I don鈥檛 know. I think鈥 Well, you know what I always say about, well I bloody love the NHS but you do have to advocate for yourself and you do sometimes have to push them to get what you want.
銆赌
KATE - Yeah.
銆赌
HOLLY - So they鈥檙e saying, "We will contact you in due course as we get little notification as to when we鈥檙e getting deliveries." So hopefully I鈥檒l get a text from them. I think it鈥檚 more likely, from what I鈥檝e read on the Kidney UK Facebook group, people are getting them from their GPs. If you鈥檙e on dialysis it seems that people are getting them, you know, when they go in for their treatment they鈥檙e just vaccinated on the machine, but it seems that transplant patients are getting them from their GPs. Anyway, I鈥檒l happily skip up there if they send me a text. Every time my phone beeps now with a text I鈥檓, like, oh what is it? And鈥 It鈥檚 usually something really boring.
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
HOLLY - Oh, I just got another one of those texts that comes from the government.
銆赌
KATE - Do you want a fake bacon, by the way, sandwich?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah.
銆赌
kate - Okay.
銆赌
HOLLY - Here鈥檚 an avocado.
銆赌
KATE - Do you want bacon and avocado? Is that what you鈥檙e telling me?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, and some tomatoes. Yeah, I just got another one of those texts that come from, like, not a real number. I got really excited and it was just saying, "Just checking you鈥檙e shielding. Is everything all right?"
銆赌
KATE - Oh, was it another, "Stay at home, stay at home"?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah. It was from the council. They鈥檙e pretty good at checking in with me, but鈥
銆赌
kate - What did it say?
銆赌
HOLLY - It just says, "Call this number if you need help with shopping," and stuff.
銆赌
KATE - That鈥檚 nice.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah.
銆赌
KATE - I mean, it鈥檚 really annoying but it鈥檚 not.
銆赌
HOLLY - I know.
銆赌
KATE - There鈥檚 so many people now getting their鈥
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, maybe soon.
銆赌
KATE - Like, who are vulnerable who are getting their vaccine, which I鈥檓 obviously delighted for them, but also frustrated for us.
銆赌
HOLLY - It鈥檚 given me really weird鈥 What鈥檚 the opposite of, like, d茅j脿 vu? Like, I want to say PTSD, but I know it鈥檚鈥
銆赌
KATE - It鈥檚 not as bad as that.
銆赌
HOLLY - It鈥檚 not as bad as that, but it鈥檚 giving me the feels of when I was waiting for a kidney transplant.
銆赌
KATE - Oh, really?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah. Because I鈥檇 be constantly looking at my phone or any kind of number that I didn鈥檛 recognise or鈥 Well, any London number really, because that鈥檚 the hospitals in London. I鈥檇 be, like, "Hello?" But obviously that came in waves because I was waiting for a kidney for five years, so it wasn鈥檛 like I was鈥
銆赌
KATE - Oh God, I hope it won鈥檛鈥
銆赌
HOLLY - No but, you know, some weeks I鈥檇 be, like, yeah, got a good feeling about this week, going to get the call and then I鈥檇 be all anxious and stuff. No, I never got鈥 Well actually I did get the call, but it didn鈥檛 go through and then a kind friend stepped up and gave me his kidney, but that鈥檚 a whole another story.
銆赌
KATE - Yeah. Do you want tomatoes?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, I think so.
銆赌
KATE - How do you want them chopped?
銆赌
HOLLY - Erm鈥
銆赌
KATE - It鈥檚 good service you鈥檙e getting.
銆赌
HOLLY - I know. This is really rare by the way. Kate does no cooking. Ever.
銆赌
KATE - I put that down to my disability.
銆赌
HOLLY - Just thinly sliced.
銆赌
KATe - I can鈥檛 thinly slice anything.
銆赌
HOLLY - Well, you鈥檙e using a blunt knife. But yeah, so it鈥檚 given me all the weird feels and I just鈥 I just don鈥檛 like it, I feel a bit anxious and it鈥檚 stupid because鈥
銆赌
KATE - Well it鈥檚 not stupid.
銆赌
HOLLY - Well it is, because it will happen, it鈥檚 not like鈥 I don鈥檛 know, but I鈥檝e got one of those good feelings about this week.
銆赌
kate - Only it鈥檚 not going to happen this week.
銆赌
HOLLY - Oh, don鈥檛 say that.
銆赌
KATE - I know, but I don鈥檛 want you to be disappointed. I think our doctors are, like, two weeks behind everything else. That鈥檚 what I was told the other day. So if they鈥檙e two weeks behind that means it鈥檚 not this week, it鈥檚 not next week, maybe the week after?
銆赌
HOLLY - But the thing is, I still could get a call from London, so in my hospital in London, which I鈥檝e stuck with despite moving up north because they鈥檙e absolutely amazing鈥
銆赌
KATE - Do you want this?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, a little bit. And salt and pepper as well. Making the most of getting my lunch made which never really happens. Yeah, so they鈥檝e got a vaccination centre at the hospital and quite a few of my kind of kidney friends, people I know from clinic and stuff, they鈥檝e just got a random text, like, saying come down tomorrow. And that would be really interesting鈥
銆赌
KATE - To the Hammersmith?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, actual Hammersmith. Or the Excel Centre, which is鈥
銆赌
KATE - I was going to say, I鈥檓 sure I鈥檝e seen people going to the Excel.
銆赌
HOLLY - But the Hammersmith one only opened a few days ago, because lots of鈥
銆赌
KATE - Well, why don鈥檛 you email them and say鈥?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, I suppose so. Okay, I will email them and let them know.
銆赌
KATE - And then it will be another two weeks to get, like, immunity up.
銆赌
HOLLY - That would be quite the deal if we got a text. We鈥檇 have to drive down to London, obviously we can鈥檛 get the train, basically not stopping anywhere.
銆赌
KATE - Yeah, we couldn鈥檛 stop anywhere.
銆赌
HOLLY - Get the vaccination, get back in the car鈥
銆赌
KATE - And come straight home.
銆赌
HOLLY - Not see anyone, which would be really hard, because my mum lives in London. I couldn鈥檛 even do a drive by. But, you know, I鈥檓 up for an adventure.
銆赌
kate - Well, let鈥檚 not count our chickens. They might say, "No, you have to do it in your GPs."
銆赌
HOLLY - They鈥檝e got a way of doing it, clearly. I don鈥檛 know what that way is.
銆赌
KATE - No.
銆赌
HOLLY - Like, whether it鈥檚, like, age, because I鈥檇 be right down at the bottom, or is it, like, surname? Right up at the top. [Laughter] First name, right in the middle. I don鈥檛 know. Anyway, that鈥檚 a really good idea, I鈥檓 going to email them. Okay, that鈥檚 this afternoon鈥檚 job sorted. I鈥檓 going to eat my sandwich. That looks amazing, Kate.
銆赌
KATE - Thanks, babes.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, really good.
銆赌
KATE - I鈥檇 say I鈥檇 do it more often, but that鈥檚 not going to happen, so鈥
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
KATE - I鈥檓 in so much pain. I鈥檝e got such a bad headache. I get these headaches which are, like, from my shoulders and they鈥檙e sort of referred pain, they just go up to my head. Oh, they鈥檙e so bad. And oh, it鈥檚 just because I was just lifting the kids. It鈥檚 just so bad for my shoulders. And I hate it so much because everyone says, "Don鈥檛 lift them, don鈥檛 lift them," but that鈥檚 just not an option. Like, I don鈥檛 have to lift Scout very much anymore, because she is a total heffalump, because she鈥檚, like, four and a half. I just can鈥檛 do it and she understands that, but Little G doesn鈥檛. She鈥檚 nearly two, she鈥檚 21 months now and she wants to be held all the time, which is a big attachment thing for kids who have been adopted, that they do want to be held
銆赌
And you need to hold them, you need to hold them a lot to help the attachment and the bond grow and all of this stuff. So not holding her is sort of not really an option. Plus she absolutely goes mental if you try and put her down when she鈥檚 not ready. But the result of it is this for me, and I hate it so much. And then I just have to try and fight through it for the kids, to try and keep going and make sure they鈥檙e okay on the countdown to bedtime. And then once they鈥檙e in bed I can collapse but I just can鈥檛, like, this is really unusual for me to just sort of hide in my bedroom for five minutes. I鈥檓 just waiting for the painkillers to try and kick in. It鈥檚 just so bad. And I feel really guilty about coming away from the family in order to just be in pain, because it means Holly鈥檚 left with the kids, which is, you know, she鈥檚 fine with obviously, but also she needs her space as well. It鈥檚 just really hard. It鈥檚 just like this whole lockdown thing is so hard.
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
KATE - Right, Gracie is sleeping, napping. And Scout is in her tent watching the iPad and eating her lunch and you are lying on the bed. What are you doing?
銆赌
HOLLY - I think I鈥檝e got a little tiny bug or something. I鈥檓 just tired. I鈥檓 just feeling a bit, like, meh, you know.
銆赌
KATE - Are you sure it鈥檚 not鈥 Lockdown.
銆赌
HOLLY - Oh no.
銆赌
kate - I know it鈥檚 not COVID, I鈥檓 wondering if it鈥檚 lockdown malaise.
銆赌
HOLLY - Oh, right Lockdown blues. Yeah, definitely I think. But I鈥檓 going to go and pick up the shopping in a minute. But I鈥檝e got some clothes to take back. And I鈥檒l be all right if I just, like, pop in, you know?
銆赌
KATE - Pop in where?
銆赌
HOLLY - Sainsbury鈥檚, just to take them back.
銆赌
KATE - Are you kidding?
銆赌
HOLLY - I need to see something new.
銆赌
KATE - You can鈥檛 go inside somewhere.
銆赌
holly - I know, I just鈥 Like, a wonder round the home and clothes area would just, like, perk me up a bit I think. I鈥檓 just feeling a bit, like, oh鈥
銆赌
kate - I just don鈥檛 think it鈥檚 worth the risk.
銆赌
HOLLY - No, I know.
銆赌
kate - Do you know?
銆赌
holly - Well, you鈥檙e the one who was talking about wanting to go and give blood today?
銆赌
KATE - Well yeah, because I thought it might be safe to go and give blood.
銆赌
HOLLY - No.
銆赌
KATE - Surely that鈥檚 safer than popping into Sainsbury鈥檚.
銆赌
HOLLY - I don鈥檛 think so. You know, you鈥檇 have to get really close to somebody to put a needle in their arm.
銆赌
KATE - But they鈥檇 be in full PPE.
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, still?
銆赌
KATE - That鈥檚 true. Well, I鈥檓 not going to do it, I just feel helpless and thought it could be one thing I could do.
銆赌
HOLLY - Oh, I know. I know. Yeah, I鈥檓 just fed up of being in the house, and the house is a mess, and it鈥檚 just, like, I鈥檓 constantly picking up stuff and cleaning and it just is messy two minutes later. I mean, it鈥檚 the story of everyone鈥檚 life isn鈥檛 it at the moment with kids?
銆赌
KATE - Yeah. Do you remember when you could tidy up and then go out for the day and then come home and it would all be tidy still?
銆赌
HOLLY - Not really.
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
SCOUT - What鈥檚 Mumma doing?
銆赌
KATE - Well, I鈥檝e just got a test just through from the research place to see whether I鈥檝e got antibodies to the virus. So I鈥檓 just going to do this test.
銆赌
HOLLY - Antibodies, Scout, I think protect you from the virus. So some people have antibodies to protect themselves and they can鈥檛 get the virus. So Mumma鈥檚 just checking.
銆赌
KATE - It鈥檚 just for research, yeah? It鈥檚 almost certainly not going to have them because we haven鈥檛 come into鈥
銆赌
HOLLY - She鈥檚 helping with the test. She鈥檚 helping doctors basically.
銆赌
KATE - We鈥檙e just helping the scientists who are learning about it.
銆赌
HOLLY - What is that?
銆赌
KATE - This is the instructions.
銆赌
HOLLY - What do you have to do?
銆赌
KATE - I don鈥檛 know.
銆赌
HOLLY - It looks completely different from the one I did, like, six months ago.
銆赌
KATE - Yeah, it does. It looks more like a pregnancy test.
銆赌
HOLLY - And what鈥檚 that?
銆赌
SCOUT - Mummy?
銆赌
holly - It looks like one of those pregnancy tests.
銆赌
KATE - Give yourself 30 minutes from start to finish?
銆赌
HOLLY - What?
銆赌
SCOUT - Mummy?
銆赌
HOLLY - Go and take this somewhere else. I don鈥檛 want your blood everywhere.
銆赌
KATE - Right, so I have to wipe with an alcohol wipe, prick my finger with a lancet.
銆赌
HOLLY - Well why don鈥檛 you do this later when you鈥檙e watching TV or something?
銆赌
KATE - Squeeze it. No, I want to do it now.
銆赌
HOLLY - No, now鈥檚 not the time鈥
銆赌
KATE - Then look, you just put a tiny bit of blood on there.
銆赌
HOLLY - Hmm-hmm?
銆赌
KATE - And then you put your liquid in there, and then you wait ten minutes and then it tells you.
銆赌
HOLLY - I thought it just said half an hour from start to finish.
銆赌
KATE - Well, that鈥檚 if you鈥檙e a dingbat isn鈥檛 it? And then you upload it onto the science website. This is called a lancet.
銆赌
HOLLY - We鈥檝e got one child that鈥檚 just woken up and the other that needs constant entertainment.
銆赌
KATE - No, so that鈥檚 fine, she鈥檚 playing with her thing. And then I can just do this finger prick bit when I鈥 Right, choose a good spot on the fleshy bit or side of one finger. Fleshy. Lancet.
銆赌
SCOUT - Mummy, will you help me?
銆赌
HOLLY - Hang on, Scout. I just need to do some important work.
銆赌
KATE - To draw blood press the uncapped end of the lancet firmly鈥 You鈥檒l feel a little pinch. Ow! [Laughter] Oh, and that鈥檚 it.
銆赌
HOLLY - Such a baby.
銆赌
KATE - I wasn鈥檛 expecting it, that鈥檚 all. Right, then we do鈥
銆赌
SCOUT - Will you play with me, Mumma?
銆赌
KATE - Yeah, one minute, I鈥檓 just doing my little test.
銆赌
SCOUT - Mummy?
銆赌
HOLLY - Hmm-hmm?
銆赌
SCOUT - Will you play with me?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah, of course I will.
銆赌
KATE - Do you think that鈥檚 enough blood?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah.
銆赌
KATE - Do you think?
銆赌
HOLLY - Yeah. Yeah, you鈥檝e covered it.
銆赌
KATE - Okay. Drop liquid here. Two drops. And you wait ten minutes.
銆赌
SCOUT - Oh, a baby turtle!
銆赌
HOLLY - Oh, I love the baby turtle. It鈥檚 so cute isn鈥檛 it?
銆赌
KATE - Right, I鈥檓 just putting a plaster on my finger. Okay, so it says, antibodies are made by the immune system to fight infection. The test looks for two types of antibodies, IGM and IGG. By looking for antibodies in your blood we can understand whether someone has previously been infected with the virus that causes COVID. There are no lines coming up on my test.
銆赌
HOLLY - [Sighs]
銆赌
kate - Yeah, this is not showing anything up, so鈥
銆赌
HOLLY - Do you want to send it back then?
銆赌
KATE - A bit disappointed.
銆赌
HOLLY - Okay鈥
銆赌
KATE - I know, but it鈥檚 like that slight thing in the back of your head where you think, oh, maybe I am immune and everything will be okay. But I鈥檓 not and this proves it. Dang it. Anyway, I鈥檒l upload this to University College, London now. They can make of this what they need to. It feels good to help science in some way though doesn鈥檛 it?
銆赌
[Music]
銆赌
KATE - So we wait with bated breath for news that Holly has a slot for the vaccine and when she does you guys will be the first to know. Actually, I think Holly鈥檚 mum and my mum will probably be the first to know, but you guys will be a very close second. Plus, Boris has announced schools won鈥檛 be going back till at least 8th March. Argh! Meaning more home school for us. We are all getting just a bit more than frazzled now aren鈥檛 we? But we are celebrating my birthday this weekend, so I鈥檒l let you know how that goes, and another thing that鈥檚 getting me through this all is hearing from you lovely lot.
銆赌
So if you want to put a question to me, or just let me how lockdown is going for you, especially if it鈥檚 going badly, because somehow that helps. Please email my producer Amy, at
