Shadow Secretary for Housing, Labour's Thangam Debbonaire says she has heard 鈥渉eartbreaking tales鈥� of people paying increased costs and losing their homes because of unsafe cladding.

Labour are calling for the government to set up a national cladding taskforce to tackle the issue.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Naga Munchetty, Thangam said the government has 鈥渞ightly told people to stay home [during lockdown], but for these people they鈥檙e being told to stay home in a home that is not safe鈥� this is an appalling way to treat people.鈥�
