Sierra Leone鈥檚 civil war lasted 10 years with 50,000 deaths, hundreds of thousands of people affected by the violence, and two million displaced.

Thirty years ago in Sierra Leone, former army corporal Foday Sankoh and his Revolutionary United Front began a campaign to overthrow President Joseph Saidu Momoh, resulting a civil war that lasted 10 years.
