As an electroacoustic composer, Ain Bailey is interested in and compelled to think about how to reimagine material in and from a particular environment. Commissioned by the festivals Supernormal (Oxford) and Jupiter Rising (Edinburgh) in 2019, 'Super JR Second Phase' is a composition based on field recordings made at both festival sites, which fuses the landscapes while also creating new sonic terrains.

Bailey then performed 'Super JR' live at both festivals.

For Tectonics 2021, Bailey presents the second phase of the work.
