How Ethiopia is using blockchain to create digital IDs
Blockchain is the basis for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, which offer a decentralised alternative to traditional banking and finance. However, the technology has uses beyond just currency creation. Ethiopia鈥檚 government is using blockchain to create a digital ID system, to help verify a person鈥檚 credentials. John O'Connor is African Operations Director at, Input Output, the company working with the government on the project.
