A tale of revolt during the Reformation in 16th Century Germany
French author Eric Vuillard tells the little known story of Thomas Muentzer, a firebrand preacher who leads a peasant revolt against the church and the nobility. Eric tell us how a piece of graffiti inspired him to research Muentzer's life. His translator Mark sees parallels between the book's rage against injustice, and current popular protest movements.
