Thousands of Africans die in road accidents every year
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has released statistics saying 1.35 million people die every year in road accidents worldwide with 20 percent of those deaths on the African continent. People between 5 to 29 years are the most affected and this includes motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. Focus on Africa鈥檚 Esau Williams asked Benita Sako, the WHO Road safety expert at the organisation鈥檚 regional office for Africa, the exact cause of the deaths. Could it be bad driving?
