Former Afghan interpreter for US special forces on Taliban death threats
US troops may have pretty much completed their withdrawal from Afghanistan.
American officials have said that they will start evacuating interpreters who worked with the military -- and their immediate families -- within the next week or so.
An initial group of 2,500 will be flown to a military base in the US state of Virginia, as concern for their safety has grown as foreign forces have pulled out of the country, and the Taliban continues to make sweeping gains.
This former interpreter for US special forces is not among those who will be evacuated. But he told Newshour's Tim Franks that he fears for his life and that of his family due to Taliban death threats.
