Who would be a football referee?
It's a question that's come more to the fore in recent days - as we learn in some parts of the country, numbers are down by as much as 40 percent.
At grass roots level, there are real concerns about referees leaving the game because of abuse from players and spectators - even at junior level.
In Cornwall, 79 percent of referee appointments are kept - bucking the trend. But the Cornwall FA says more can be done.
Lee Swabey is the Referee Development Officer for the Cornwall FA. He's been speaking to 麻豆社 Radio Cornwall's James Churchfield.
