Burkina Faso: ‘Some IDPs are living in a cattle market’
Danish Refugee Council Secretary General Charlotte Slente talks to Focus on Africa from Burkina Faso, where she has been visiting areas affected by the violent insurgency which has displaced more than a million people from their homes. The armed forces have been unable to contain militant groups, which have carried out many atrocities, leaving areas of Burkina Faso practically ungovernable.
