USA's Nathan Chen, who is a triple world champion and set a world record in the short programme on Tuesday, goes for gold in the men's free skating at Beijing 2022. Chen is still looking for his first Olympic gold.

Chen鈥檚 uncharacteristically emotional reaction at the end of his short programme showed his relief after his nightmare in PyeongChang. In 2018, he skated brilliantly in the free skate but it was not enough to lift him into the medals because he was only lying 17th after a poor display in his short routine.
