The Oscar nominations included one for Lin-Manuel Miranda for a song from the Disney animated film, Encanto. He鈥檚 also the man behind the musical 'Hamilton' who has just directed a film for the first time - which produced a best actor Oscar nomination for Andrew Garfield. It鈥檚 called Tick Tick Boom and is based on the story of Jonathan Larsen, who wrote the musical Rent but died on its opening night in 1996. Today鈥檚 Mishal Husain spoke to Lin-Manuel Miranda about Larsen's influence on his work.
