Biden signs order seizing $7 billion of Afghan central bank assets
President Biden has signed an order to split the seven billion dollars in frozen Afghan government assets held in the United States since the Taliban seized the country last August. Half will be used to settle compensation claims against the Taliban filed by American victims of terrorism. Obaidullah Baheer is a lecturer at the American University of Afghanistan, who is involved in distributing aid to desperate Afghan families in Kabul and other cities.
He gave his reaction to President Biden's plan.
