'Moon Knight's authentic portrayal of Cairo makes me happy'
Disney+鈥檚 latest Marvel miniseries Moon Knight premiered last week with Oscar Isaac in the lead role and May Calamawy playing friend and archaeologist Layla El-Faouly.
The pair told 5 Live鈥檚 Must Watch presenter Hayley Campbell that while no scenes were filmed in Egypt, the authenticity of the Cairo sets is something that鈥檚 鈥渘ot really been done before.鈥
鈥淟ook at Indiana Jones or these different films, it鈥檚 just always off.鈥 said Isaac.
鈥淭hat鈥檚 something that, as an Arab, watching, they鈥檙e going to see that and really appreciate it and it just makes me happy that that鈥檚 available now.鈥 Calamawy added.
