The UN Secretary General Ant贸nio Guterres has visited Senegal, Niger and Nigeria on his first trip to the continent in two years.

As his tour came to an end, he spoke to Focus on Africa about the jihadist insurgency in the Sahel, the widespread drought that is affecting many countries, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and whether these important issues on the continent are being overshadowed by the war in Ukraine.
