John Needham works at both Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and witnessed the distress felt by families, friends and carers not allowed to visit patients in hospital during the pandemic.

John set up his ‘Letters for Loved Ones’ service to bring comfort in dark times and share messages of love at the bedside of patients.
For so many, sadly, it was a final goodbye.
