Erin Kennedy: 'Sometimes you crave normality and the ability to not be someone with cancer'
British Paralympic coxswain Erin Kennedy helped Team GB to win a gold medal at the European Rowing Championships in Munich on 13 August 2022, just three months after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Speaking to 5 Live Breakfast, she says she found a lump on her breast just before the 2022 World Rowing Cup finals but only told a handful of her team: 鈥淚 didn鈥檛 want to make the weekend about me.
鈥淚 wanted to make it about the race and the performance鈥ometimes you just want to be your other identity.鈥�
