Ethiopia: Dozens killed in Oromia attacks
More than 50 people are feared dead in attacks in the Oromia region of western Ethiopia.
"The war in the western part of Oromia region has never stopped," says Alex de Waal, executive director of the world peace foundation.
De Waal offers his insight into what the attacks mean for the Tigray and Oromia regions of Ethiopia, indicating that the Ethiopian government's military positioning in neighbouring Eritrea points to a "fundamental flaw" in the peace process in which many still held hope.
The regional authorities have not yet responded to the 麻豆社鈥檚 requests for comment.
