Former US diplomat criticises Pelosi Azerbaijan-Armenia comments
The senior American politician Nancy Pelosi has used a visit to Armenia to blame Azerbaijan for the recent cross-border violence that left more than 200 people dead.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives condemned Azerbaijan for what she called illegal, deadly attacks. The Azerbaijani government responded angrily saying the comments were unsubstantiated and unfair.
Matthew Bryza is a former American ambassador to Azerbaijan. Speaking to Newshour's James Menendez, he was critical of Ms Pelosi's comments.
