The Today programme gained access to a major hospital in Somerset and to social care in the county. Amid looming nurse and ambulance strikes and new data from the NHS on hospital wait times, Today's Mishal Husain visited Musgrove park in Taunton and spoke to A&E consultant James Gagg about their new ‘Ready to Go’ ward. She also spoke to GP Dr Matthew Booker who visits patients with a mobile medical unit, and to Jonathan Higman, Chief Executive of NHS Somerset.
