Thousands of angry demonstrators took to the streets of Peru for yet another day on Sunday.
They've been demanding the resignation of the new president Dina Boluarte, and are calling for new elections to replace her.
Protests over the impeachment of President Pedro Castillo have continued in the capital Lima. The former President was detained on corruption charges last Wednesday.
Ms Boluarte, who had served as Mr Castillo's vice-president, was quickly sworn in to replace him.
Following the protests, at least two people were killed when police clashed with the demonstrators.
Police fired tear gas to disperse demonstrators in the city.
President Boluarte has reacted to the protests, and responded by bringing the next election date forward from 2026 to 2024.
Denisse Rodriguez-Olivari is a Political Science lecturer at the Catholic University of Peru.
Explaining why people in the country were demonstrating, she told Newsday, "Alongside a lot of social and economic demands, many people feel that this change of presidency means that something is going south".
