Lost Kenyan boy found after surviving six days in Tsavo National Park
A four-year-old boy has been found after he went missing in Kenya's Tsavo National Park.
Ayub became separated from his elder brothers after a day of livestock herding in the southern wilds of the country.
He survived six days in the hyena-infested wilderness alone, until he was finally found during a search and rescue operation.
Roan Carr-Hartley, a 22-year-old pilot who helped give aerial support to the tracking teams on the ground to help find Ayub spoke to Newsday.
He says: "It was shock, I couldn't believe it actually turned out the way it did, because from experience even finding an elephant in that vegetation sometimes takes up to a week, but finding a four-year-old boy is almost a needle in a hay stack situation, so it's a huge relief, disbelief, and just unbelievable happiness really."
