Why NGOs are pulling out of Afghanistan over Taliban women ban
Three foreign aid organisations are suspending all their work in Afghanistan following the Taliban order banning the employment of women at humanitarian agencies.
In a joint statement, CARE, the Norwegian Refugee Council and Save the Children said they could not effectively reach Afghans in desperate need without their female staff.
Jan Egeland, the head of the Norwegian Refugee Council, told 麻豆社 Newshour's Tim Franks why his organisation was suspending all their work in Afghanistan following the Taliban order banning women.
