13-year-old dog Milton was almost killed after a dog attack in Waingroves. Derbyshire Police have said action will not be taken because no offence has been committed. The Dangerous Dogs Act states it鈥檚 a criminal offence if a dog attacks a person or assistance dog, but it doesn鈥檛 extend to pet dogs or other animals.
