The 麻豆社's learned that Iranian's in the West Midlands are fearful, unable to work or sleep at night - as they worry for the safety of their families back home.

It's after the death of a 22-year-old woman in police custody in Iran last year. 麻豆社 Midlands Today's David Lumb has been looking at what's happened since.

The words of the people in David's report have been revoiced by 麻豆社 colleagues - to protect their identity. Protests have been held here in the West Midlands too.

There are 4,500 Iranians living in Birmingham alone - it's the second largest number in the UK. One demonstrator - Bahmaan Raad - who told me the regime knows he's been speaking out, despite him being 4,000 miles away here in Birmingham.

Omid Garoosi is another Iranian businessman living in Birmingham. He runs a restaurant - Rouhi Persian Cuisine in Smethwick - which has been closed ever since the protests began in Iran back in September.
